Local Dining Information

Meals during your trip generally follow this pattern:

  • Breakfast is usually a buffet at the hotel. In Yangon and Mandalay, Japanese dishes may sometimes be included in the buffet selection.
  • Lunch is typically served at a restaurant, and Dinner is at a restaurant or the hotel.
  • Cuisine often includes a variety of options such as Myanmar (Burmese) dishes, Chinese food, Dim Sum, Hot Pot (Shabu-Shabu), and international buffets.

Beverages:

Coffee and tea may or may not be included with the meal. When they are not included, they will be charged extra, along with mineral water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages.

Meal Times:

  • Breakfast starts from 07:00 (sometimes as early as 06:00).
  • Lunch is around 12:30 – 13:00.
  • Dinner is around 19:00.

Please note that if you have an early morning departure, breakfast will be provided as a packed meal box.

Important Notes for Sightseeing:

(1) When visiting pagodas and temples, you must be barefoot. It is convenient to bring rubber sandals or flip-flops.

(2) If you bring a camera or video camera, please note that some tourist sites may charge a separate filming fee.

(3) If you need local currency (Kyat) during your tour, please ask your guide for assistance. In rural areas, it may not be possible to exchange US dollars for Kyat along the way. However, you can use ATM machines (available at hotels and in town areas) to withdraw Kyat using your credit card.

Local Tour Guide Services

A licensed, Language-

speaking local guide will accompany you throughout your entire journey within Myanmar. In some regional areas, some foreign language guide may not be available. In such cases, an English-speaking guide will be provided for your tour.

Generally, your guide will travel using the same transportation and stay in the same accommodations. The accompanying guide will also provide sightseeing assistance at each location.

All guides are officially licensed and highly skilled in language. Please do not hesitate to consult your guide for any concerns or assistance you may need during your journey.
