Kengtung (Kyaingtong)

Kengtung (Kyaingtong), often called the “City of the Golden Triangle,” is located in the eastern part of Shan State and is a deep-mountain town inhabited by numerous tribes. If traveling by car, one must navigate approximately 165 kilometers of rough roads from Tachileik. Trekking to visit villages of the Akha, Lahu, Wa, Lisu, and Shan will be a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
